How we hold your personal data

UK data protection law requires a lawful basis before we keep your details. If you instruct us or ask for property information, we will ask you to confirm we may hold that information on our files.

UK GDPR (the retained General Data Protection Regulation) sets the rules for how organisations collect and use personal information. It applies to us when we hold names, contact details and identity documents, and it can apply to firms outside the UK if they process data about people here.

As a business we must have a lawful basis before we process personal data. In practice that means we need your written consent to keep your details on our files unless we are already performing a contract with you or meeting a legal duty (for example anti-money-laundering checks).

What we typically hold

  • Name, phone number, email and postal address
  • Identity and address documents when the law requires them
  • Notes of your property requirements so we can send matching opportunities

We treat that information as confidential and share it only as described in our privacy policy. You can ask to see what we hold, ask us to correct it, or withdraw consent where consent is the basis we rely on.
